E-portfolios are a great way to maintain an electronic resume. You can personalize your e-portfolio to reflect your interests, achievements and personality. We encourage our students to set up and update their e-portfolios, and will link them to our page to highlight your achievements.
A few helpful tips for e-portfolios:
  • E-portfolios are more like resumes than Facebook profiles. Think carefully about what you post to it. It’s okay to show your personality, but keep it polished at the same time.
  • Update your e-portfolio regularly. You’ll be less likely to forget about an accomplishment if it is recorded somewhere.
  • Personalize your e-portfolio! You can include photos and posts from your study abroad trip, examples of a project you won an award for and so much more.
  • Reflect on your experiences! Unlike a resume or personal statement where you are often limited in space, you can write as much or as little as you want. Use the space to write about how an experience influenced you or made you think about life in a new way. It is a good idea to keep the length manageable for others to read though.
  • Share them! You can share your e-portfolio with mentors, potential employers, and anyone else you want to share your accomplishments with.
Below are instructions that will help you to create your personal E-portfolio.
  • Go to http://sites.google.com
  • Log in to, or create a Google account
  • Click on "Create site"
  • Select the "Browse the gallery for more" option under "Choose a template to use"
  • Click on "Public" on the left menu
  • Type "USF Honors" in the search button and click "Search"
  • Select the "USF Honors College" template
  • Click "Select" That will give you a template which you may or may not choose to use. You may modify to your heart's content - it is your web page.
  • Name your site (ex. Rocky the Bull). Note that you can use any theme you want with this template to change the appearance of your site.
  • Click "Create Site"
  • E-mail your URL to us! Nationalscholarships@usf.edu
You should be able to upload papers, assignments, projects, etc. that you are proud of. Pictures and videos are great. Put your resume on the site. You can modify the structure, colors, format and content to reflect your personality. Below are some great examples of e-portfolios that our students have done.
